BUMP – Maternity & More is New Brunswick’s first specialty boutique for maternity clothing and comfort aids, post – natal clothing and breastfeeding support, and baby and nursery necessities and gifts. We started the trend – and we know others will follow!
BUMP is located at 88 Regent Street - downtown Fredericton, in keeping with a true boutique atmosphere. Our shop is welcoming and intimate, and we intend to keep it that way! We develop strong connections with our clients that go far, far beyond the commercial type of service you find in any mall store. We have baby changing facilities and are feeding/nursing friendly. We also offer older children an opportunity to colour pictures, rock in the small chairs, or amuse themselves with finding the rubber duckies scattered around the shop.
BUMP is the only retailer in New Brunswick to offer award-winning, easily recognizable brands such as Bummis cloth diapers, DadGear, MamaSpanx, Snazzy Baby kneepads, Snugglebugs squeaky shoes, and isabooties footwear (washable!!). We also offer unique, seasonal clothing and gifts for newborns to two year olds (including a selection of premie items!.
We encourage parents to consider wearing their baby in soft carriers by choosing from Hotslings pouch slings, Heart to Heart ring slings, a Cuddly Wrap, and Ella Roo Mei Tai/Mei Hip baby carriers. Many moms especially find these soft carriers superior to hard frame carriers – due to their ease of use, cleaning, and transportation. Less back and neck aches too! Go hands free, in or out of your home!
At BUMP, we believe that you should have the choice to support ethically developed products. We choose to first support suppliers who manufacture in Canada, and then in countries where we are confident that the manufacturing environment and raw materials meet our standards. For example, our maternity lines and nursing bras are Canadian. So are diapers by Bummis, hair bows by Snugglebugs, and Heart to Heart slings, all of which contribute to quality of life for stay at home moms who manufacture product in their homes. Other Canadian items and suppliers include the Cuddly Wrap (100% organic cotton wraps, and finally, Jolly Jumper (way, way more than a jumper!!) is worldwide renowned as a reputable Canadian manufacturer of baby accessory products for more than 50 years.
We have selected several US lines, such as baby wear by American Apparel, isabooties foot wear, toddler fun & learning aids by Moms on Edge, and baby carriers by Hotslings and Ella Roo, because their parent companies are committed to domestic manufacturing in an ethical environment.
